The non-destructive approach has clear advantages over traditional locksmith methods and where drilling into door and lock is common place.  Insurance standards and security are not compromised.  This is preferable in all circumstances.  A drilled lock will need replacing, a lock opened non-destructively may be reconfigured to new keys thereby reducing costs and avoiding unnecessary repairs.
